Myringia

Myringia (Miringistān) is a country occupying the north of the Frankish lands, bordering Espary.[1] Its capital is Ockeghem, city of tulips and spyglasses.

If Auvers and Espary are inspired by the shared history of Britain and France, Myringia and Ockeghem do the same for Prussia and the Low Countries: the Hanseatic League of the Flemish primitives → Vermeer’s Delft → the Prussia of Kant, Hegel and Marx → some rather hideous imperialism. The region is named after the Myrgings of Widsith.↩︎
